British Columbia’s nickname is Beautiful British Columbia. British Columbia has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, six National Parks and over 400 provincial parks and conservation areas. It is the third largest province in Canada and is four times the size of the UK!
Weather
Summer temperatures average in the 20’s C, and in the winter at -10C. The first snow fall is expected in October as temperatures start to fall and lasts through to about mid-March when the weather starts to warm up again.
Best time to visit
Canadian mountain weather can be changeable year round however the optimum time to travel to the region where adverse weather conditions are least likely to affect your enjoyment of the region is between May and September.

Mountains
The Canadian Rockies are obviously amazing for mountain ranges stretching 900 miles in length and over 90 miles wide but the two highest peaks in British Columbia and Alberta are in the Coast Mountain range and the Saint Elias Mountain range.

There is so much wildlife to see in Alberta and British Columbia, from wolves to black and grizzly bears, elk, deer, marmots, cougars, lynx, moose, mountain goats, coyote and over 250 bird species including grey owls, osprey, Canadian geese, waterfowl and songbirds!
