Did you know that the highest mountain in the contiguous United States is in California? 🏔️ Mt. Whitney stands at 14,505 feet tall and lies on the boundary of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and U.S. Forest Service - Inyo National Forest. 😮 Find the best view of this peak (without a hike) from the Interagency Visitor Center on Highway 395, just south of the town of Lone Pine on the east side of the Sierra. 🏞️

Just a quick note for now to say we are back having had the most fantastic holiday in America! Thankyou for organising the most amazing time for us- we absolutely loved all of it - the road trip was brilliant! If you want more detailed feedback please let me know - and if you ever need scouts for future locations please can we be your guinea pigs?! Everything went like clockwork from the flight onwards and we were upgraded on the car hire too. We told our kids that this was to be the holiday of a lifetime - we’re now planning to spend their inheritance and have another ( although not for a couple of years!) Thanks for all you did, your advice, the road book - which got sadder and sadder as we got closer to the end - seriously though it was a great thing to have - and basically organising a truly wonderful holiday. ... Sorry this email is a little delayed but we sure you know only to well that you hit the ground running as soon as you return from holidays.
Anyway we wanted to thank you for making our trip to Canada so smooth and hassle free. Everything was so easy. Canada was amazing and breathtaking at times. The scenery is spectacular especially along the Icefield highway and between kamloops and horseshoe bay. Vancouver is a very interesting city with lots to see and do as is Victoria. Whale and bear watching was fun and we saw humpback and grey whales and 5 bears combing the beaches. All accommodation was excellent, the standard room at banff was a little cramped and dark as it looked into an inner courtyard...but it didn't matter as we were only there to sleep. The Helmckenfalls lodge was a little difficult to find as the satnav took us to the wrong place. Fortunately I had read it was appropriately 40 minutes drive from Clearwater so we eventually found it. Also thank you for the room upgrade in Victoria it was a beautiful room overlooking the harbour. We're sad now it's all come to an end but we do have our memories and photos to look back on. We can't thank you enough for arranging our wonderful Canadian adventure.
