Summer temperatures average about 25C. In the winter temperatures drop to around -2C. Temperatures vary on the coasts, where it tends to be a few degrees cooler. Spring and autumn are pleasant, with warm daytime temperatures of 10-15C and cooler evenings.
Best time to visit
Spring is a lovely time to visit Atlantic Canada. The temperature in May and June is perfect for touring. July and August are the warmest and busiest months. The autumn months between September and October are wonderful, with less crowds and the spectacular burst of autumn colours.
Food
Atlantic Canada is famous for its fresh and abundant seafood! From succulent lobster, to scallops, mussels, oysters and cod. You can dine at a seaside restaurants, take a stroll through local farmers market or also take in one of the many culinary festivals.
